Petrolicious nous offre une nouvelle pépite ! La Formule 1 est entrée depuis longtemps dans une ère technologique. Mais dans les années 80, elle était dans une ère mécanique au sens pure du terme. Effet de sol, V8 atmosphérique, sans aucune assistance électronique, il en fallait du cœur et du courage pour piloter les monoplaces.
La March 811 de la saison 1981 était loin d’être la meilleure des monoplaces mais c’est celle confiée à l’époque à l’Irlandais Derek Daly que l’entrepreneur John Campion nous présente avec passion et héritage.
En effet, le très jeune pilote Jordan Dempsey, grand espoir irlandais en Sport Auto en a pris le volant tel un passage de relais car il est né en 1981.
Quant aux sponsors qui apparaissent sur cette incroyable F1 d’antan, il ne vous a pas échappé que Le Moulin Rouge en faisait partie ainsi que la marque de bière irlandaise Guinness et le spécialiste du papier à cigarette Rizla, soit un « sacré cocktail » impossible à imaginer sur une Formule 1 aujourd’hui.
