Lewis Hamilton terminera bien la saison F1 2020 au volant de sa Mercedes lors du GP d’Abu Dhabi le dimanche 13 décembre. Un test négatif au Covid-19 lui permet ainsi de revenir après son absence au GP de Sakhir.
Lewis Hamilton fera le maximum, comme à son habitude, pour monter sur la plus haute marche du podium du GP d’Abu Dhabi. Dimanche dernier pour le GP de Sakhir, George Russell avait remplacé le champion britannique titré pour la 7ème fois cette année, ceci dès le drapeau à damier du GP de Turquie.
George Russell retrouvera donc Williams Racing en clôture de la saison en cours. Rappelons que le Français Romain Grosjean ne prendre pas le départ de cette dernière épreuve de la saison, la faute à ses brûlures causées par son terrible accident survenu dans le premier tour du GP de Bahreïn, le 29 novembre.
Enfin, à ce jour, Lewis Hamilton compte 332 points au classement pilotes. Valtteri Bottas est 2ème (205 points) devant Max Verstappen, 3ème (189 points), Mercedes ayant également décroché le Championnat du Monde des Constructeurs 2020.
